TRAIN WITH MARCUS

Marcus Edwards is a trainer in the Hamptons that offers a high degree of proficiency in basketball skill development and personal strength training. 

Marcus is Hoop Hampton's head of player development and East Hampton's Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. Since 2010, Marcus has been working with players of all ages and skill levels. He is a 2008 All New York State basketball player and role model to many youth. Marcus graduated from East Hampton High School then went on to receive a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Babson College where he was a Varsity Basketball player.

Marcus is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. His passion for fitness and physical development began as a collegiate basketball player. He learned the importance of strength and movement in sports, adopted a more functional training method and through training was able to move better. Proper basketball-specific strength training will help players reach their goals and experience success on the court as well.



SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Basketball skill development for players first grade and up. Skill development sessions will focus on establishing proper fundamentals then making appropriate progressions.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Strength training for players sixth grade and up. Strength and conditioning sessions will focus on building strength, speed, agility and vertical jump ability.

  1. $150
    Before each private Strength Training session, an assessment is issued to each player to determine the player's functional movement patterns. After consulting with the player and/or parent, a customized program is made to address the player's specific needs.
    STRENGTH TRAINING
  2. $100
    Private skill development and strength training with players at convenient locations in East Hampton or your home. All private sessions are an hour long and are customized to the players individual needs and goals. Packages: 4 Sessions at $100 each 8 Sessions at $100 each
    PRIVATE TRAINING
  3. $60/player $30/player
    A wide range of fundamentals will be taught and depending on numbers, structured and competitive games such as 5-on-5 will often be played at the end of the workout.​​ Small Group: $60/player, 6 players maximum Large Group: $30/player, 7 players minimum
